A Bit About Me

I’m a first-generation college student and determined Electrical Engineering major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Known for my strong work ethic and resilience, I take pride in pushing through challenges and constantly seeking opportunities to grow—both personally and professionally. I’m passionate about hands-on engineering, problem-solving, and using my skills to make a meaningful impact.

Work Experience

Code Consultant Inc.

Summer 2025

GOSCH Hyundai

08/2021 - 06/2022

Ford

08/2019 - 01/2022

As an intern at Code Consultant Inc., I supported consultants in reviewing architectural and engineering plans for compliance with local, state, and national building codes. My responsibilities included researching occupancy classifications, analyzing egress paths, and assisting with construction type evaluations. I helped prepare detailed reports and plan check documentation, gaining real-world experience in applying complex code standards. In addition to technical work, I had the opportunity to network with professionals across the field, including colleagues from other offices, architects, and clients—strengthening both my communication skills and industry insight.

At GOSCH Hyundai, I pursued a well-rounded experience by working closely with both service writers and technicians. On the management side, I assisted with scheduling, customer interactions, and streamlining daily operations. In the shop, I gained hands-on experience with diagnostics, repairs, and vehicle electronic control units (ECUs). This dual role allowed me to understand the full service workflow of a dealership—from front-desk operations to technical troubleshooting—while strengthening my communication skills and mechanical intuition.

As a student trainee with Ford, I completed a series of virtual training programs focused on automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures. Through these courses, I earned several professional certifications and deepened my understanding of automotive technology. The experience gave me foundational technical knowledge and introduced me to industry standards and protocols early in my engineering journey.

BONUS JOBS

Throughout my last two years of high school, I worked at Little Caesars while balancing a full academic and extracurricular load. I became ACE (Awesome Customer Experience) certified and consistently delivered fast, friendly service in a high-paced environment. Outside of work, I took AP and dual enrollment courses, served as class president, founded two student clubs, and competed as a varsity athlete—all while maintaining a strong academic record and active social life. This experience taught me time management, adaptability, and the value of showing up with energy and purpose every day.

Starting my third year of college, I stepped into a new role I never anticipated—becoming my mom’s official caretaker. While many of my peers were navigating midterms and internships, I was learning how to manage prescriptions, coordinate doctor visits, and be a steady support system at home. At the same time, I continued to pursue a rigorous electrical engineering degree, stay active in campus life, and support my younger brother—all while figuring out adulthood myself. Balancing school, career development, caregiving, and my own identity hasn’t been easy, but it’s shown me what resilience truly looks like. Every challenge has sharpened my time management, deepened my empathy, and grounded my motivation to succeed—not just for myself, but for the people who depend on me.
